Francisco Gomez Week 4 Blog

Gurtov’s article, The Trans-Pacific Partnership: A Deeply Flawed Partnership, brought up a good point that made me reflect on so many things. Gurtov posed the question of who truly benefits from TTP? It was something that I had never truly looked into, I knew that top was the one benefiting for sure but never truly grasp the idea of who on the top and at what cost. Based on the article the true and only beneficiary from this is the one establishing trade. The U.S. is benefiting amazingly from partnerships that they are establishing in other countries. The cost unfortunately lands on the people living in this nation because they are loosing jobs. At the cost of citizens the U.S. is growing partnerships that only benefit the top 1%.

Question: Are these TTP powering or actually affecting globalization as a whole?
