According to the reader called Popular Music: Sounds of Home Resistance and Change by Kieu-Linh Caroline Valverde first gives two examples of working and middle-class Vietnamese families who one is from Viet Nam and the other from the U.S. Within those examples, it shows how popular music and culture are shared transnationally without any border limit. The families share and exchange gossip, music, government actions from these DVDs or tapes. The American media has been shared and downloaded overseas in Vietnam and has reached millions of families (Valverde, p.30). There is a large sharing of popular Vietnamese music, but there are still restrictions such as the government and censorship, and anti-communists in the U.S. and racism (Valverde, p.30). Fortunately, the creation of new music and exchanges transnationally has been successful because of fanatics and professionals within the music industry. The reading further emphasized the positive outcomes music has for both sides of the Vietnam community because it creates connections with the Vietnamese diaspora and those who are still in their homeland. The music entertainment seems to have created a platform of exchanges overseas and in the host land. This universal exchange and advances in technology will create a better variety of music for the Vietnamese community.

What websites are recommended to watch or listen to artists from overseas Vietnam?
